## Hindi creators, in short

Hindi creators reach the largest single-language audience in India, but Hindi is many markets, not one. A creator from Patna, one from Jaipur and one from Delhi speak to different customers, with different jokes, prices and festivals. Choose the region first, then the creator.

About 52.8 crore people named Hindi as their first language in the Census of India 2011, the largest of any language in India. The Census groups several related mother tongues, such as Bhojpuri and Rajasthani, under Hindi.

## Where Hindi viewers are

Hindi is the main language across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, and is widely understood well beyond them.

Cities with big Hindi audiences include Delhi NCR, Lucknow, Jaipur, Patna, Indore, Bhopal, Kanpur, Varanasi.

## Moments that matter for Hindi campaigns

Holi (February or March): colour, food and family videos; a natural home for food, beauty and home brands.

Navratri, Dussehra and Diwali (September to November): the biggest buying season of the year in most Hindi-speaking homes.

Chhath (October or November): central in Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh, and a reason to brief Bihar creators separately.

Wedding season (November to February): fashion, jewellery, beauty, gifting and travel.

## How Hindi creators talk, and what they make

Many Hindi creators speak Hinglish, mixing Hindi and English in the same sentence, and write on-screen text in Roman letters rather than Devanagari. Others keep to a purer Hindi, or a regional variety such as Bhojpuri or Haryanvi. Match the creator's register to how your customer actually talks.

Kinds of video with big Hindi audiences: comedy sketches, family and village vlogs, exam prep and learning, tech and phone reviews, money and investing explainers, cooking.

## How to brief a Hindi creator

Name the states or cities where your product sells. "Hindi" alone sends a brief to the wrong half of the country.

Say whether Hinglish is fine or whether you want Hindi throughout, and which script you'd like on screen.

If you sell mainly in smaller towns, say so: creators who live there know the price points and the objections.

Give the creator the one thing the product does for a family, not a list of features. Hindi creators are at their best telling a story.

## How Thommidhi helps you find Hindi creators

Search Discover by the language the videos are in, Hindi, then by what they make and who's on camera. Every fact shows where it came from, and a video language is shown only when a page states it. Press "Ask Thommidhi" and a person reaches the creator and stays with you from brief to posted video. Making a brand page and searching are free.

## Questions brands ask

How do I find Hindi YouTubers for brand promotion? Make a free brand page on Thommidhi and search Discover by the language the videos are in: Hindi. Narrow by what they make and who appears on camera. Every fact on a listing shows where it came from, and creators who fit what your page asks for come first, with the reason in words. Press "Ask Thommidhi" and a person reaches the creator through the business contact they published. If you can't find who you need, say so on your page and we'll research it by hand.

How much does it cost to work with a Hindi creator? There's no rate card, and we won't invent one. The fee is agreed for each brief and depends on the creator, the format (a dedicated video, a segment inside a video, or a Short or reel) and how long you can reuse the video. We agree it with you before anything starts. Making a brand page and searching Discover are free.

Hindi or Hinglish: which works better for a brand video? Whichever your customer speaks. Urban, younger audiences often talk in Hinglish; audiences in smaller towns and older viewers may prefer plainer Hindi. The creator's own way of speaking matters more than either: ask for their usual voice, not a translated script.

Should Bihar or Rajasthan get a separate brief? Often, yes. Festivals, food, prices and humour differ across the Hindi belt. One brief per region, each with a creator from that region, usually lands better than one national brief.
