Is it clearly labelled as an ad?

Paste a caption or video description and check it has a clear ad label at the start, the way ASCI's influencer guidelines ask, with the label in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi or Odia.

Ad label checker, free

A paid video, a free product, or any other connection with the brand needs a label viewers can't miss. ASCI allows the label in English or in the language of the ad. Paste your caption or description, pick the format and the language, and see what to fix, with a ready label to copy.

Everything you type stays in your browser: nothing is sent to Thommidhi or anyone else, and there's no sign-up.

How it works

The label must be upfront: at the start, not after "more" and not lost in a block of hashtags.

For videos, put it on screen as well as in the description; for stories, on the picture itself; for live streams, keep it up for the whole stream.

Money and health creators who give advice need to show their credentials upfront (ASCI, 2023).

Labels it recognises: Ad, Advertisement, Sponsored, Collaboration, Partnership, Employee, Free gift, Paid promotion and Paid, with or without #, and "Ad" in ten Indian languages.

Questions

What ad labels does ASCI accept? ASCI's influencer guidelines list Advertisement, Ad, Sponsored, Collaboration, Partnership, Employee and Free gift, placed upfront where an average viewer won't miss them. The label can be in English or in the language of the ad.

Can I write the ad label in Telugu, Tamil or Hindi? Yes: ASCI allows it in the language of the ad. We suggest pairing it with English, for example "Ad · ప్రకటన", so every viewer and every reviewer reads it.

Is #ad at the end of my hashtags enough? No. A label lost in a block of hashtags or hidden after "more" doesn't count as clear. Put it at the start.
