Engagement calculator, free
Engagement rate here is likes plus comments as a share of views. Type a few recent videos and see each one's rate, the overall rate (big videos count for more) and the plain average. You type the numbers yourself, from YouTube Studio or the public video page; nothing is fetched.
Everything you type stays in your browser: nothing is sent to Thommidhi or anyone else, and there's no sign-up.
How it works
Use recent videos of the same kind: mixing Shorts and long videos hides both.
The overall rate weighs each video by its views; the average treats every video the same. If they're far apart, one video is pulling the number.
There's no universal "good" rate: compare a channel with itself over time, or with channels like it.
Questions
How is YouTube engagement rate calculated? One common way is (likes + comments) ÷ views × 100 for each video. Some tools divide by subscribers instead; per view tells you more about the people who actually watched.
What is a good engagement rate on YouTube? It depends on the format, the topic and the size of the channel, so a single benchmark misleads. Compare a channel with its own past videos, or with channels of the same kind and size.
