Find creators who already talk like your customers.

Find Indian creators and influencers by the language their videos are in, what they make and who's on camera, with every fact sourced. A free, step-by-step guide.

The short answer

The right creator for an Indian brand is usually the one who speaks your customer's language, makes the kind of videos your customer already watches, and is trusted by them. Start with language and topic, not follower count, check where every fact came from, and give the creator a brief they can say yes to.

How to find the right creators, step by step

Start with the language, not the reach. Choose the language your customers watch videos in before you look at audience size. A 40,000-subscriber Kannada cooking channel can sell a kitchen product in Karnataka better than a national channel ten times its size, because its viewers are your customers.

Pick what they make. Look for creators whose usual videos already sit next to your product: cooking for food and kitchen brands, tech reviews for gadgets and apps, family vlogs for home and baby products, money explainers for finance. Your product should fit into a video they'd make anyway.

Decide who should be on camera. A women's health brand may want women on camera; a family product may want a family. Use only what creators say about themselves. Never choose by guessing someone's gender, age or background from a name or a photo.

Check where every fact came from. Before you trust a language, a topic or a city on a profile, see its source: the creator's own website or profile, an article, or the creator themselves. A tool that can't tell you where a fact came from may have guessed it.

Write a brief a creator can say yes to. Say what the product does for the customer, the languages and regions you want, the format (a dedicated video, a segment, or a Short or reel), your dates, what the creator must or must never say, and a budget range. Leave the creator room to make it their own video.

Agree how you'll measure it, before the video. Decide together what success means: a discount code, a link, store visits, or simply a good video posted on time. Agreeing it first avoids arguments later and tells you which creator to work with again.

Your options, honestly compared

Global influencer databases: Millions of profiles and fast filters, mostly by follower count and engagement. Watch for: Language, location and gender are often estimated by an algorithm, Indian regional coverage can be thin, outreach is up to you, and plans are usually priced in dollars.

Affiliate-link apps: Creators share shopping links and earn a commission on each sale, which suits marketplace products and impulse buys. Watch for: You don't choose the creator or shape the story, and a link in a description is not the same as a creator making your product part of their video.

Agencies: Someone else does the work, often with a ready roster. Watch for: You see the creators on their roster, not everyone who fits, and fees sit on top of the creator's.

Searching YouTube and Instagram yourself: Free, and you see the videos first-hand. Watch for: Slow, with no way to search by the language videos are in, and contacting creators one by one takes weeks.

Thommidhi: Search Indian creators by the language their videos are in, what they make and who's on camera, with the source of every fact. A person reaches the creator through the business contact they published and stays with you from brief to posted video. Making a brand page and searching are free. Watch for: We're growing language by language, and researched creators are added by hand. If you can't find who you need, tell us and we'll look for you.

Questions brands ask

What's the best way to find regional influencers in India? Search by the language the creator's videos are in, then by what they make, and check where each fact came from. Thommidhi's Discover lets you do exactly that for Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia and English, free.

Is Thommidhi free for brands? Making a brand page and searching Discover are free. When you work with a creator, the fee is agreed for that brief, with you, before anything starts.

How is this different from an influencer database? Most databases lead with follower counts and estimate language, location and gender by algorithm. Thommidhi leads with the language the videos are in, shows the source of every fact, never guesses who someone is, and puts a person between you and the creator.

Do creators know they're listed? Listings are built only from what creators published themselves, and any creator can see exactly what we hold, correct it or remove it at thommidhi.com/listed. Listings are shown only to brands we've approved, never on public pages.

Can you find creators in a language or niche that isn't listed? Yes. Say what you need on your brand page, for example Assamese, Bhojpuri or Urdu creators, or a niche such as farming or parenting, and a person here will research it by hand.
